Unfortunately, Kraftwerk 2 is a step-down from the debut which had a bit more structure. This album barely falls short of forty minutes, but it feels like an hour at least just based on the sheer repetitive nature of the content. This entirely instrumental album may bear no resemblance to the Kraftwerk we all know and love, but it's still a pretty good album for what it is. This album should be regarded in the time it was made, as it was well ahead of it's time in electronic realization. Tangerine Dream, another early electronic group, took psychedelic rock and basically left out the rock leading to ambient music. Synthesizers display an enchanting and ethereal atmosphere, slightly evolving through nice crystalline additions.
